As we continue to work towards providing a safe and affirming space for all of our players, we have to be intentional about using inclusive language on and off of the field. We also must be intentional about advocating for each other when we witness subtle and overt acts of exclusion.
If you believe that a manager, umpire, commission member, player, social member, or spectator is creating a hostile or unwelcoming environment for others, please reach out to the League Commissioner at commissioner@cblsl.org and/or the Diversity and Inclusion Director at diversityandinclusion@cblsl.org
If you are not comfortable reaching out to either of those commission members, please go to http://www.cblsl.org/pages/board-members for a list of all commission members, their roles, and their email addresses.
We urge you to speak up and hold the league accountable for supporting and advocating for trans, non-binary, and genderqueer people in the league and in our community.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be creating materials for our membership and supporters that we hope will help us all become advocates for marginalized people in our league and in our community. Please also reach out to the CBLSL Commission and/or Diversity and Inclusion Committee if you have questions about the content in these guides or want to get more involved with advocating for trans, non-binary, and genderqueer league members.
Trans Inclusion
The CBLSL is committed to creating not just an inclusive environment, but more importantly an affirming environment for our trans, non-binary, and genderqueer members and supporters. Please review the guides below to learn how you can become an advocate at games and league events.
